Favourite Find

This has to be one of my favourite finds at a car boot, ever. Theres like this massive car boot near where I live and you have to get up ridiculously early to even have a hope of finding something good. On the plus side though, its really cheap.

This is a Vintage bag I bought off a woman who was getting rid of the excess stock from her shop I think, and it was a grand total of £3. Its from the 1950's and it really reminds me of the bag that I saw on that show that had twiggy on it? Anyway Matthew williamson was on it showing this bag that inspired his collection of pixelated clothing, it had similar tapestry on it. One of the dresses that he designed was this one Thandie Newton is wearing. I think it was a fair few seasons ago, but I still love it :)

I know I may sound like a total hippocrite now because I said that its not fashion itself that I like, however I think its kind of the whole brainwashing side that I dislike, especially in magazines and advertising,I'm not making much sense haha :)

Intensions

After much deliberation and reading of other blogs, I finally made one.
I have a real interest in fashion, well actually not fashion itself, I find it a little bit pointless and over commercialised, but the fascinating way that people dress. Its quite funny how we instantly create a picture of what someone is like from looking at their apparel. I suppose you could call it judging, but I see it more as their way of broadcasting what they want you to see them as. A whole new you can be created by clothing. Anyway, I'm rambling.

Basically, I'm sick of looking around and being blinded by Ugg boots and jack wills. Fashion itself, as I said is a little bit brainwashing, don't you think? I wish people would use clothing as almost a portal, a canvas for their character. But hey, what do I know? Maybe I'm just being silly.

Either way I need to stop going on about nothing now, theres time for that later :)
My blog is intended to be a sort of mix of things, including:

-Tutorials for making clothes etc, which I think will be good because I love to talk about making things but I think my friends are sick of my rambings...:)

-Outfit posts

-My finds in charity shops 8-)

-events

-basically anything really, but mostly fashion based. Lets not call it fashion, but I suppose, well I can come back to that..
